With all the fun we´ve been having I totally forgot I even had a blog! Too much has happened since I last wrote so I´ll just do a basic recap up until last week.
Our cousins came for Christmas and we had tons of fun! (as always) We went to Tulum and me, Keltie, Dad, and Uncle Jamie took a kitesurfing lesson. We didnt get to go on a board or in the water or even use a real kite but trying to control the training kite was hard enough.
Opening my Christmas present from my brothers, 2 real live cockroaches fell on me! I was ready to kill them but they didn´t even wrap my present, Mom did! They gave me books so we have no clue why cockroaches would be in there.
The Creasons left before New Years. We had a chocolate fondue and invited the Hopsias over ( the family with 4 ´unschooled´kids that the boys are best friends with. They´re our favourite neighbors we´ve ever had.)After that we went to the Kareoke/Dance at the restaraunt.
In February me and Dad drove up to Canada to sell the Motorhome and for me to get some harp lessons and participate in the Kiwanis Music Festival. I really liked staying staying at Grandma and Grandpa´s house. We had a lot of evil marble games.
Mom had a few people come see them while we were gone. When we got back I got to see my best friends parents on their last day. We went to the Tulum ruins and had a Book of Mormon tour from our friend Alma. Then we went to the beach!
We had Mom´s birthday( I won´t tell you how old) and it was their Anniversary on Easter Sunday. On Good Friday we had a fire! I woke up because I heard the power go out. Then I heard people start yelling that there was a fire! Fire in PaaMul is insanely scary because everything is made out of guano ( grass or palm fronds) the last 2 fires took out 8 palapas in one and 12 and the restaruant and dive shop in another. I was instantly out of bed and waking up Dad. He went over there ( across the street and 6 palapas down) with our extinguisher and later we found out that he had been up on the roof where the fire was and got electricuted by the power line that started the fire and was still on. He didn´t get hurt and neither did anyone else. After we got the power cut ( a half hour later) and the Bomberos/firefighters got there it was fine. Only 1 roof was gone and the one next to it was barely singed. We were so lucky this time because there was no wind, we cauyght the fire early on, the Bomberos got there quickly, and everyone in PaaMul was prepared and had fire extinguishers.
We made Easter eggs with the Hopsias. They´ve never really celebrated holidays like we do so they think that we´re a little overboard but we just drag them along with us. Why not have as much fun as possible? Mom bought 90 eggs and in the morning they came over and hunted the eggs with us. Dad, who is phycically linked to the easter bunny, helped the little girls out. I found an egg in the gas thing for the van.
Me and Keltie got matching really cute Easter dresses and the boys got insanely large water guns. We all got the traditional Kinder Suprises ( the directions to build the stuff was in spanish) and Jelly Belly´s. Thank you Grandma for the Eggies!
We´re having a bot of a cold snap so we´re all just hanging out. Pepe approved our construction plan so hopefully we can start building on Monday.
Now we´re up to date and I´ll try to keep it that way.
